Looking to trail ride in the North West? Fancy riding your bike on un-surfaced roads in the Lake District? Like the idea of getting to hidden parts of the Yorkshire Dales? Looking for a bit of an adventure? Come in and take a closer look.

The Ribble Valley TRF is an active and growing group of trail riders based around the North West.

If you own a road legal off-road motorcycle and are interested in exploring legal trails in and around the Ribble Valley, then this is the club for you.

Join in our regular club meetings and take part in guided ride outs with our members who have years of experience riding in this stunning part of the country.

Don't worry if you're total newcomer or seasoned green lane veteran, we welcome those looking to learn and it's always good to meet those that can bring something new.

Still unsure? Get in touch and come along to a meeting to see what it is all about.

What is Trail Riding?

Trail riding is an active recreation using road legal bikes to traverse the countryside on roads that are typically not suitable for everyday road users. The road legal bikes are sometime referred to as trail bikes, dirt bikes, off road bikes and more recently adventure bikes. Our members do not ride on illegal routes E.g. Footpaths and Bridleways. They only ride on designated and recognised routes which are often clearly defined on Ordnance Survey maps.

Where do you ride?

The Ribble Valley group is based in the North West and as such that means many of its members typically live in and around that area. The club has a wealth of experience in and around the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. However, ride outs can stretch the length and breadth of the UK with rides around North, South and Mid Wales, The Peak District, Midlands and as far reaching as the Devon and Cornwall. We even have trips to the Isle of Man.

What is the TRF?

The Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) is the national, voluntary and non-competitive body formed in 1970 by people who enjoyed exploring 'Green Roads' by motorcycle. Our aim is to conserve our heritage of Green Roads for everyone to enjoy. Our members do not ride inconsiderately and do not wish to be involved in or cause confrontation with other countryside users.

Come along and check it out for yourself.

The club meets monthly (See contact us). It's a great opportunity to meet up with others who enjoy this passtime, exchange routes and plan trips.

Already an active TRF member with another club?

Part of another club but wanting to try some different routes, no problem. Get in touch or come along to one of the meeting
